THE NUMBER OF ECONOMIC ENTITIES IN THE ECONOMY OF TURKMENISTAN HAS GROWN BY 44%

The increase in the number of business entities is observed in the economy of Turkmenistan. So, according to the State Statistics Committee of the country, the growth of the quantity of the registered new economic entities by their principal forms of economic activities for January-March, 2021 has made up 44,3 % as compared with the same period of 2020.

The majority of the new enterprises are concentrated in agriculture – their number in the same time parity has increased by 88 %. The good growth was observed among manufactures of processing branches – more than 53 %.

Thus, the share of the state owned economic entities continues to decrease, and the quantity of private small enterprises and organisations grows.

According to the Turkmen Statistics Committee, in the private sector of the national economy for January-February, 2021 as compared with the first two months of 2020 manufacture of silk fabrics (3,1 %), pipes from plastic and glass-fibre (155 %), mineral waters and soft drinks (20,5 %), sewing and knitted products (2,5 %), confectionery (8,0 %), whole-milk production (11,2 %), butter (35 %), cereals (85,1 %) and some other kinds of industrial output has increased.

For the same period the receipts of funds to the state budget from the private sector has grown by 36,2 %.
