Ambassador M. Ayazov held a meeting with the vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia.

On January 29, 2024, a meeting between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia M. Ayazov and the Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Armenia Karen Ivanov was held.

During the meeting, issues of increasing the trade and economic potential of the two friendly countries and issues on growing trade turnover were discussed.

The Armenian businessman expressed his readiness to open a Trading house of Turkmenistan in Armenia and, in this context, Ambassador M. Ayazov informed that at the last meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to improve the work of trading houses of Turkmenistan in foreign countries.

At the meeting it was noted that in the Armenian market the interest in industrial products “Made in Turkmenistan” is increasing and a readiness to grow the range of trade turnover between the two countries was expressed.

Karen  Ivanov also said that the delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia plans to take part in the International Exhibition of Modern Food Technologies “Agro-Pak Turkmenistan” and “Turkmen Food”, which will be held in May 2024 in Ashgabat.

In his turn Ambassador M. Ayazov assured that the Turkmen side will provide full support for preparing the upcoming visit.

Through the talks, the interlocutors also touched upon issues of transport and logistics infrastructure and the establishment of new logistics connections.
