THE ENTREPRENEURS STRENGTHEN EXPORT POTENTIAL OF THE COUNTRY

Development of the nongovernmental sector of economy of Turkmenistan leads to increase of the business contribution in GNP and State Budget of the country, implementation of the important national programs related to the employment of population, increase of export and import substitution. The domestic entrepreneurs launching new manufacture on the basis of the state-of-the-art technologies and advanced equipment strive to find niche not only in the domestic market, but also to establish business contacts with the foreign partners in order to bring their production on the foreign markets.

One of such new companies is an Economic Society “Bagtyýar gurluşyk”, which launched the production of the polypropylene thread in the industrial zone of the members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, located in Ak Budgay etrap of Akhal velayat.

Using the local raw material delivered from the polymer plant in Kiyanly, it is produced here several types of threads of different colors, meeting the world standards. The advanced European technologies makes it possible for the enterprise to produce 22 ton of high-quality polypropylene thread per year. The young workers are employed in the production, who proficiently operates the state-of-the-art equipment.

The polypropylene threads are widely used for the production of the carpets and carpet articles, and give them special strength, and allow to keep their color and form for long period. These features of the polypropylene threads cause great demand for them. Therefore, the ES “Bagtyýar gurluşyk” holds active negotiations with the potential foreign partners, planning to send its production for export. In the very near future the first batch of the produced goods will be shipped to the Turkish Republic.

In May this year, In order to stimulate private enterprises and entrepreneurs in the country that produce goods for export, protect their interests and increase the competitiveness of our goods in foreign markets, as well as increase export volumes by supporting exporters, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution.

According to the document, from January 1, 2022, customs duties on the goods not included into the lists of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th annexes to Decree of the President of Turkmenistan No. 9925 dated July 27, 2008 “On approval of lists of goods for which customs duties are not paid and on which customs duties are established when importing into Turkmenistan and exporting them outside its borders, and the volume of customs duties”, for goods exported outside the territory of Turkmenistan, except for hand luggage of individuals - private entrepreneurs and individuals engaged in entrepreneurial activities without education legal entity, are approved in amount of 2 parts from hundred of customs value of such goods.
