Karen Giloyan informed the Ambassador that the northern city of Armenia Gyumri has been declared the Sports Capital of the CIS countries in 2024, where the conference of the Council on Physical Culture and Sports of the CIS countries will be held. Since 1 September 2023 Gyumri chairs the Council on Physical Culture and Sports of the CIS countries.
Ambassador M. Ayazov, in his turn, noted that Turkmenistan has become the venue for major international sporting events and expressed his gratitude for the active participation of Armenian athletes in the mentioned events.
The parties expressed their readiness for mutual participation of sportsmen of the two states in sports and educational events in both countries.
