Turkmen-Iranian Fashion Exhibition Opens in Ashgabat
An exhibition of fashion and clothing was held at the exhibition centre of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan, organized by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Turkmenistan jointly with the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan.
Such an event is being held in our country for the first time and, perhaps, therefore, it has generated great interest in society. The Turkmen-Iranian exhibition of fashionable clothing was visited by representatives of the diplomatic corps in Turkmenistan, artists, designers, students and teachers of the Academy of Arts, the media, as well as residents of the capital who are not indifferent to new trends in the fashion industry.
For visitors to the exhibition, carefully examining the textile and leather exhibits, Turkmen folk melodies were performed by a dutar ensemble and a string quartet.
The Iranian guests introduced the Ashgabat public to the best products of ten branded groups, such as «Feramsa Design», «Noran», «Shoonz» and others, specializing in the production of women's clothing, silk scarves, leather handbags, shoes, and jewellery.
On our part, designers from the Fashion House of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan presented products from the haute couture collection at the exhibition. Panne velvet, silk, keteni, embroidered with embroidery and glass beads, are the basis of luxurious women's outfits.
In addition, a number of sewing enterprises presented a wide range of fashionable children's clothing, from knitted T-shirts to denim clothing. No little fashionista will refuse such clothes.
The exhibition of Turkmen-Iranian branded clothing will continue with a fashion show on the catwalk in the Fashion House.
This entertaining event expands ideas about the culture of neighbouring countries and is aimed at strengthening friendly relations between our peoples.
