Turkmenistan is preparing for the meeting of the Halk Maslahaty

On the 19th of September, the next session of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, the most important representative body of people's power, will be held in the «Maslahat köşgi» Palace in Ashgabat. The event is of national scale, marking a new stage in the development of democratic processes in the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state.

The upcoming session has a clear strategic agenda and carries significant symbolic meaning, since it is being held on the eve of the 34th anniversary of the sacred independence of Turkmenistan, which gives the event special importance in the context of the country's confident movement towards new achievements and prospects for creation and progress.

During the session, the results of the work over the past period will be summed up and priority tasks for the near and long term will be identified. The key focus will be on the consideration and approval of proposals aimed at further strengthening the foundations of people's power. All preparatory work, in accordance with the Resolution of the Presidium, is carried out under direct control, with the order to create an Organising Committee, designed to ensure that the event is held at the highest possible level.

The session of the Halk Maslahaty reflects the principle of national unity, which is the basis of the modern political system of Turkmenistan. This principle, in turn, is rooted in the noble and fundamental motto «The state is for the person!» Thanks to the far-sighted initiatives of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the strategic course of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the forum acts as a platform for synchronising the efforts of all branches of government and society, confirming the unity of goals of the leadership and the people.

The significance of the upcoming session of the Halk Maslahaty is greatly enhanced by the fact that it is being held in the International Year of Peace and Trust and in the year when the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality is celebrated. This circumstance testifies to the global significance of the forum, which goes beyond domestic politics. The status of neutrality of Turkmenistan, three times confirmed by the world community, serves as convincing evidence of universal support for the country's peacekeeping initiatives.
