Turkmenistan has adopted a long-term Strategy for Cultural Diplomacy

At a digital meeting of the Government of Turkmenistan on the 8th of October, Deputy Chairperson of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Seyidova presented the draft Strategy for the Development of Cultural Diplomacy for 2026-2052 to the head of state.
The approval of this long-term document emphasises that cultural diplomacy is becoming an important element of Turkmenistan's foreign policy, complementing political and economic aspects.
The main objective of the Strategy is to utilise cultural heritage as an important tool for bringing people closer together and strengthening friendships. It aims to promote international recognition of unique traditions, promote national values and ideals, establish long-term interstate relations, and strengthen the role of cultural diplomacy in the international community.
During the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution approving this Strategy and addressed specific instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister for its implementation.
