Turkmenistan ready to expand cooperation in strategically important areas within the “C5+1” framework
Turkmenistan seeks to strengthen cooperation in such strategically important areas as security, economy, energy, and environmental protection. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stated this at the “Central Asia + USA” Summit.
Identifying these as priority areas of cooperation, the Head of State expressed confidence that the outcomes of the Summit will contribute to the further expansion of multilateral partnership between Central Asia and the United States of America, and that cooperation within the “C5+1” format will promote the sustainable development of the region.
The high-level meeting, held in Washington under the chairmanship of U.S. President Donald Trump, was also attended by President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
