Speaking at the Central Asia + Japan Dialogue Summit, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov paid special attention to the development of human potential and the strengthening of public ties, emphasizing that youth and cultural exchange form the foundation of long-term partnership.

The head of state noted that Turkmenistan demonstrates a steady interest in Japanese culture and science. Today, thousands of Turkmen schoolchildren and students are studying the Japanese language, which creates a basis for deep mutual understanding between the peoples.

“In this regard, in order to ensure youth, student, and academic contacts, we put forward an initiative to establish a Central Asia–Japan Youth Forum,” said the head of state.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also stated that Central Asia is a region with a young population and enormous intellectual potential, possessing significant opportunities for cooperation in the fields of education, science, technology, and humanitarian exchanges. In this context, the President of Turkmenistan initiated the creation of a permanent mechanism for interaction among women of the region’s countries and Japan.

“We also propose the establishment of a permanent platform, the ‘Central Asia and Japan Women’s Dialogue,’ the main purpose of which should be close interaction among women of our countries across the broadest possible range of areas,” proposed the President of Turkmenistan.
