Turkmenistan has proven in practice its willingness to use neutrality in the interests of all humanity

Turkmenistan has proven in practice the effectiveness of its neutral status as a tool for serving humanity and promoting global well-being. This was stated by deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of foreign affairs of the country Rashid Meredov during the celebratory event «International year of peace and trust: confident steps of neutral Turkmenistan».

In his speech, the head of MFA emphasised that neutrality is not simply the position of one country, but a sought-after international mechanism. This status has enormous potential for bringing together states with different interests and achieving consensus on the most complex international issues, taking into account the legitimate interests of all participants in political processes.

«Turkmenistan is convinced that the potential of neutrality, its inherent tools and approaches, will be frequently and widely used in international politics, especially in specific situations. Neutrality has been and will remain the main guiding principle of internal development and international cooperation of the country», − said R. Meredov.
