National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, made a working visit to the city of Arkadag. The focus of Hero-Arkadag is on the pace of construction of the second phase of the «smart city» and the continued implementation of the large-scale medical cluster project.

As part of the trip, a meeting was held dedicated to accelerating construction work. Not only the heads of relevant ministries and departments of Turkmenistan, but also representatives of the largest technology giants of the world «Sumitomo Heavy Industries LTD» and «Sumitomo Heavy Industries Plastics Machinery» (Japan), «EM Korea Co. LTD» and «Korea Meditech Co. LTD» (Republic of Korea) were involved in the discussion.

During the discussion, special emphasis was placed on the development of a medical industrial cluster, where the presentation of international certificates was a key point. Products and primary materials for processing from the Arkadag city medical cluster have received confirmation of their environmental friendliness and the quality of local raw materials, with ISO standards being particularly important.

Hero-Arkadag noted that exactly one year ago, construction of the production facilities of cluster began. In this regard, the National Leader of the Turkmen people outlined three key areas for industrial development in the new city.

This includes raw material independence, meaning the use of exclusively domestically sourced natural raw materials that meet environmental standards; uncompromising quality, meaning products must meet the highest global standards; and export potential, meaning that once the domestic market is saturated, products will be exported to foreign markets.

In conclusion, Hero-Arkadag emphasised that compliance of production based on local raw materials with international standards is a crucial requirement of the modern epoch.
