Professor of the National agrarian university of Armenia gives an online lecture to Turkmen students

The Turkmen Agricultural University hosted a video lecture by the representative of the National Agrarian University of Armenia (NAAA), Professor Hamlet Martirosyan.

The lesson for students was organized as part of the implementation of the Agreement between the two universities, signed in August 2017 during the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Armenia.

A professor at the Department of Plant Growing and Soil Sciences of the Agronomy Faculty of NAUA gave a lecture on the topic “Current State and Ways of Development of Seed Selection and Seed Production of Agricultural Crops”.

As an example, he cited scientific achievements in this field of the Agrarian University of Armenia, other selection centers of this country. At the end of the lecture, Professor Martirosyan answered with pleasure the questions of Turkmen students and representatives of the teaching staff who were present at the lesson.

As a sign of friendly relations and cooperation between the two universities, the Armenian professor suggested sending copies of selection materials to the address of the Turkmen Agricultural University. As he said, the National Agrarian University of Armenia has a very large fund - more than 1,500 number of selection material.

Questions were also raised regarding the teaching methods at the Agrarian University, on the number of grain and cereal varieties grown in Armenia, on the peculiarities of selection techniques, to which the professor gave comprehensive answers.

In conclusion, representatives of both universities expressed hope that such classes would be regular and confirmed that cooperation in this format could be another expression of friendship and good neighborly relations between our countries.
