THE FIRST CONTAINER TRAIN FROM TURKMENISTAN ARRIVED IN CHINA

It took five days for the container train, which was sent overland for the first time from Turkmenistan to China via Kazakhstan, to arrive at its destination.
The container train contains 42 40-foot containers loaded with gypsum. The total length of the route in Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan is 4,150 km, of which 3,450 km is on the territory of Kazakhstan. The travel time through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan was five days.
Forwarders of the first land container train through the territory of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan are JSC "KTZ Express" and OAO "Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan".
It should be noted that OAO "Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan" (TULM) was established in 2018 and contributed to an increase in the volume of freight and postal international traffic. The Center provides local and foreign partners with a wide range of transport and logistics services, organizing and accompanying transportation by air, rail, road and sea transport.
The Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan OJSC also organized a rail container transportation from China to Turkmenistan, the first train of which arrived at the Gypdzhak station in May 2020.
It should be noted that, pursuing an open door policy, Turkmenistan is consistently striving for the transport unification of the entire Eurasian space through modern logistics. Favorable geographical position, but provides it with real opportunities to create a promising and competitive transport macrostructure, which consists of international transport corridors and multimodal logistics centers. Therefore, a number of large-scale projects are being implemented in the country, designed to give a powerful impetus to the development of transport logistics.
Turkmenistan is creating a modern logistics system that contributes to the effective development of interstate relations throughout the Eurasian continent. To date, the country's transport infrastructure has gained the ability to manage the cargo flows of almost all types of transport - sea, rail, road, aviation, pipeline, power transmission. In Turkmenistan, the most complex types of transportation of a wide variety of resources are already being carried out.
At the same time, the transport infrastructure allows for logistics calculations to optimize schemes and routes, time and place of delivery, loading, reloading and temporary storage of transported goods. The basis for the creation of such a system is the presence of a developed transport infrastructure and a guarantee of the safety of cargo flows, provided by political and economic stability in Turkmenistan.
