Issues on the bilateral agenda were discussed at the Armenian Foreign Ministry

On 3 May  2024 a meeting was held between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia M. Ayazov and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan.

 

During the meeting, issues on the development of trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and transport and logistics relations between the two countries were raised. Issues related to the development of cooperation within international and regional organizations, in particular the CIS, were also discussed.

 

The issue of developing trade between the two countries through the use of transport capabilities of Turkmenistan was emphasized. M. Safaryan said that currently relevant measures are being taken in Armenia to develop the transport sector and create new opportunities, as well as intensify transport links with the countries of Central Asia. The Armenian side expressed great interest in the logistics and transport routes of Turkmenistan .

The agenda of the next meeting of the Turkmen-Armenian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation was also discussed. The parties highly appreciated the role that this Commission plays in the development of trade and economic relations between the two friendly countries.
