Days of Cinema of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan held in Tashkent
Film screenings featuring Turkmen and Uzbek productions were held in Tashkent as part of the International Congress “Central Asia: Shared Spiritual and Educational Heritage – Shared Future”.
The event, which took place at the National Palace of Cinema Art, brought together representatives of academic and cultural circles, figures of the arts, and youth leaders from the countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan.

As part of the initiative, audiences were presented with the best films produced by the Oguzhan Turkmenfilm Association. Among them were: the joint Turkmen-Uzbek feature film “Magtymguly Fragi”; the film “Gyzyl kürte” (“Red Kürte”) directed by Sakhysalykh Bayramov; the feature film “Kitap” (“The Book”) directed by Hekim Alovov; as well as a documentary about the classical poet Magtymguly Fragi by Annadurdy Tashliyev.
The films sparked keen interest among viewers. The audience highly appreciated the emotional richness of the films and the importance of the themes they addressed.

In parallel with the Congress, a roundtable was held with the participation of the heads of film organizations from all six countries: Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
Participants discussed prospects for expanding cooperation between the countries, the potential for joint film projects, issues related to promoting national cinema on international platforms, and strengthening humanitarian ties through the art of cinema. Special attention was given to creating conditions for co-production, exchanging professional experience, and further developing cultural dialogue among the countries.
