Successful implementation of Turkmenistan’s energy strategy

The celebrations marking the arrival of the new year 2026, which will be held in our country under the motto “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses,” have been complemented by events confirming that the work being carried out in the fuel and energy sector of the Motherland is yielding positive results.

During these festive days, welcome news was received about the discovery of new inflows of natural gas, which became the result of the consistent efforts of the relevant divisions of the State Concern “Türkmengaz,” indicating that the industry has embarked on a path of sustainable development.

At present, thanks to the successful implementation—under the leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar—of the initiatives of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, aimed at the comprehensive development of the sectors of the national economy, high benchmarks are being achieved in the structures of the fuel and energy complex, as in other spheres. At the same time, particular importance is attached to a scientific approach to the development of the industry.

Thus, by order of the “Marygazçykaryş” administration of the State Concern “Türkmengaz,” an operating well No. 110 with a depth of 4,180 meters was drilled by the “Türkmengazburawlaýyş” administration as part of the first stage of development of the “Galkynyş” field. As a result of testing operations conducted in the open-hole interval of 4,149–4,015 meters, a commercial inflow of natural gas was obtained with a daily production rate exceeding 2 million cubic meters.

This is further evidence that the activities of the “Türkmengazburawlaýyş” administration are carried out at a modern level, and that the technologies employed are being improved on the basis of innovative methods. This success confirms the effective fulfillment of the tasks set by the President of the country to introduce digital technologies and to master advanced global experience in the sectors of the national economy.

According to the data obtained, a new inflow of natural gas was also received at the “Toparjulba” field, which is part of the Central Garagum group of gas fields. This became a kind of labor gift from the workers and specialists of the industry for the New Year.

As in all divisions of the State Concern “Türkmengaz,” work in the “Döwletabatgazçykaryş” administration is carried out in line with the requirements of the time. By order of the “Döwletabatgazçykaryş” administration, in accordance with the plan established by the “Türkmengazburawlaýyş” administration to increase the production of non-sulfurous gas, an operating well No. 264 was drilled at the “Toparjulba” gas field to a depth of 1,200 meters. During the development of the Lower Cretaceous section, in the interval of 1,085–1,082 meters, a commercial inflow of natural gas with a volume of about 300 thousand cubic meters per day was obtained.

Additional volumes of oil and natural gas are being produced as a result of the exploration and development of new fields. This is an indisputable outcome of the consistent strengthening of the material and technical base of the structures of the fuel and energy complex, as well as the introduction into production of the achievements of modern science and innovative technologies.

In this regard, the activities of the State Concern “Türkmengaz” aimed at extracting additional volumes of natural gas and gas condensate, as well as at the consistent development of the “Galkynyş” gas field, demonstrate positive results of large-scale efforts to expand the export potential and production capacities of the complex.

Employees of the specialized divisions of the State Concern “Türkmengaz” are working effectively to fulfill the tasks set before the industry, making a worthy contribution to strengthening the power of the national economy. Thus, thanks to the successful implementation under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of the large-scale transformations initiated by Hero-Arkadag, the energy policy of our country is crowned with new successes.

The data obtained contribute to strengthening Turkmenistan’s status as a major exporter of energy resources and its positions in the global energy market.
