Days of Culture of Turkmenistan in Georgia

The Days of Culture of Turkmenistan are currently being held in Tbilisi, Georgia, in conjunction with the state visit of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Georgia.

As part of the opening ceremony, a large-scale exhibition showcasing masterpieces of Turkmen national decorative and applied arts was organized. The exhibition featured museum treasures, authentic traditions of the Turkmen people rooted in centuries of history, as well as works by Turkmen painters and sculptors. The display provided visitors with an opportunity to explore the rich national heritage of Turkmenistan.

Speakers at the opening ceremony emphasized that the implementation of the agreements reached during the high-level meetings and negotiations contributes to the expansion of fruitful international cooperation, of which cultural and humanitarian ties constitute an integral part.

Cooperation in this field serves as an important factor in bringing the two countries and their peoples closer together, fostering greater awareness of each other's ancient customs and artistic traditions. The fact that the Days of Culture in Georgia coincide with the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the friendly country underscores the great importance attached to the further development of interstate relations.

A meeting of artists and library professionals from the two countries, held within the framework of the Days of Culture, further enriched the programme. Participants noted that broad opportunities currently exist for exchanging professional experience and enhancing dialogue in the relevant fields.

The cultural programme also included meetings between the heads of theatres of Turkmenistan and Georgia, during which the participants highlighted the significant potential for expanding cooperation between theatre professionals. The theatre representatives exchanged views on contemporary performing arts and discussed prospects for their further development.

Members of the Turkmen creative delegation also visited the landmarks of Tbilisi and recorded memorable moments of their visit.

The festive concert concluded on an inspiring note with the performance of the song "Öňe, öňe, diňe öňe, jan Watanym – Türkmenistan", authored by the Hero-Arkadag.
