STRONG CONTRIBUTION TO THE DYNAMICS OF DEVELOPMENT

The representatives of the nongovernmental sector make their strong contribution to the implementation of the nation-wide and sectorial programs of Turkmenistan, in the production of variety of products, providing the general dynamic and sustainable development of the Turkmen economy. Particularly, the activities of the private farms in the agricultural production deeply affect.

According to the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, the highest growth rate compared to the previous year is stated in the farm economies engaged in production of tomato, potato, cucurbits, fruits and berries. In particular, over 58,6 thousand ton of tomato has been grown and shipped to the domestic market for ten months. About 3,6 thousand hectares in spring, and over 600 hectares in autumn was sown by agriculturists with potato, that will allow to gather in total 4,2 thousand ton of potato tubers.

A heavy crop of onion was harvested. The onion was sown on over 800 hectares in spring and 1212 hectares in autumn, as a result, 48,5 thousand ton of onion was harvested. This year was got a record cucurbit yield. The farmers gathered more than 50 thousand ton of crop from the area of 1,9 thousand hectares. The planting of the fruit trees and vine was also increased. The gardener’s economies gathered more than 70,5 thousand ton of fruits and berries.

There is a growth of the livestock products output. In the agro-industrial complex the large-scaled reforms are successfully realized, aimed at the increase of the livestock farms’ efficiency, production ramp-up of meat and dairy industries. In accordance with the decisions taken at the meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty and Decrees of the President of Turkmenistan, the gradual privatization of the state-owned livestock farms is carried out. The members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan privatized, through direct selling, about 100 livestock farms in Ahal, Lebap and Mary velayats and the poultry complexes earlier constructed in the Balkan and Mary velayats.

At present, more than 180 private livestock farms produce beef, where are over 38,5 thousand heads. For the period of ten months the stock-breeders produced З830 ton of meat. Up to 150 increased quantity of the dairy farms, where the population of the milk herb exceeded 13,3 thousand, milk yield made up 17 thousand ton. Construction of 90 more cowsheds is carried out.

Number of the poultry farms increased (over 90), specialized in specialized in raising broiler chickens and other poultry (local chicken, ducks, geese, turkey, quail). For ten months the poultry farmers realized 6819 ton of chicken meat, 6.6 thousand ton of them - broiler chickens. Over fifty egg-producing farms sold 1,846,500 chickens and 265,510,000 eggs to consumers this year.

Agricultural producers are provided with land plots. Private traders have been allocated about 100 thousand hectares, of which 61 837.46 hectares have been developed to date, the rest of the area is being developed. The necessary conditions are being created to provide farms with a solid forage base. In particular, have been allocated more than 33 144 hectares of land for the agricultural producers-members of UIET for the production of forage crops, of which 24 501 hectares have been developed. Medick, corn barley, soybeans sorghum and other fodder, crops are now grown on these areas. Procurement of livestock of the high producing breeding animals is carried out. Many farms specialized in the cattle breeding, purchased for their herb the high producing breeding animals of dairy, dual-purpose and meat breed – Holstein, Simmental, Aberdeen Angus, Limousin. In the territory of Baharden etrap of Ahal velayat the economic society “Ajaýyp ussat halal önümleri” put into operation the first in the country livestock farm on production of marble meat. The Aberdeen Angus cattle is successfully breeding in this complex. Here, in Baharden etrap the individual enterprise «Ak peçek» is engaged in the feeding of cattle and small cattle. The meat breed of cattle – Limousin, is on feed in this farm. The economic society «Sahabatly» is specialized in the cattle breeding and with increase of the milk herd, will double production of dairy goods. The daikhan association “Nurly meýdan”, acting in the territory of Bereket etrap of Balkan velayat, is involved not only in the poultry industry, but also in the cattle breeding. Its capacity - 100 thousand meat/year – allow to provide the administrative center of the velayat with meat of high quality. At present, the members of the UIET produce a wide range of the highly qualitative production, which provides in the country the food wealth and allows efficiently solve problems on import substitution, increase of export positions of Turkmenistan.
