The issues of transport and logistics infrastructure were discussed.

On May 10, 2023, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Armenia Mr. Muhammetgeldi Ayazov received Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Armenia Mr. Andranik Aleksanyan and Head of the Logistics Department Karen Arakelyan.
The issues of transport and logistics infrastructure and the establishment of new logistics communications were dweled on at the meeting.
The representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry raised the issue of the transport and transit potential of Armenian trucks through Turkmenistan, and also asked the Ambassador to assist in the search for Turkmen cargo carriers, business partners in order to establish direct cooperation.
Ambassador Ayazov welcomed the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia and said that today Turkmenistan itself stands for the development of transport and logistics infrastructure in the region, as well as throughout the world, and is a good platform for holding international conferences in this sphere.
In this context, the Turkmen diplomat told the guests that an International conference and exhibition "International transport and transit corridors: interconnectedness and development-2023" had recently been held in Turkmenistan, where the transport and logistic leaders from all over the world presented their vision of new challenges and opportunities in modern realities, trends and prospects for the development of global trade, in the context of a rapidly changing economic situation.
Mr. Ayazov also said that during this authoritative transport forum, an exchange of views took place on the role of transport and logistics infrastructure in simplifying and increasing international trade, the importance of interstate cooperation in the development and activation of international transport and transit corridors.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed confidence that the organization of logistical communications between the two countries would contribute to the establishment and further development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the business circles of both states.
