Ambassador M.Ayazov met with the Rector of the Yerevan State University

On 24 July 2023 the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia Muhammetgeldi Ayazov met with the Rector of the Yerevan State University Hovhannes Hovhannisyan.

A productive exchange of views on cooperation within the framework of the implementation of the "Agreement on cooperation between the Magtymguly Turkmen State University and Yerevan State University” in the field of science and education took place during the meeting.

During the meeting, the parties touched upon the issues of popularization of the Turkmen language, literature and culture in Armenia. Ambassador M. Ayazov was informed that for the wide promotion of the literary heritage of the Turkmen poet-philosopher, series of lectures on Magtymguly Fragi are planned to be conducted in the new academic year 2023-2024 which will be dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the outstanding son of the Turkmen people.

In this context, in reference to the cooperation and exchange of experience between the professors and students of the two partner universities, Ambassador Ayazov suggested to invite lecturers from the Magtymguly Turkmen State University for conducting lectures in the new academic year.

Due to the anniversary year of the poet the Armenian side proposed the publication of various popular-scientific articles about Magtymguly Fragi in the different scientific journals of Armenia, as well as holding an International conference dedicated to the poet, which will vividly demonstrate the close cooperation with the leading university of Armenia.
