Turkmen-Armenian cooperation in the field of education is a priority.
On 2 April 2024, professor of the Armenian State University of Economics Narek Karapetyan delivered a lecture on “Systematic reforms - as the basis for restoring growth in developing countries” for the students of the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management.
It is noteworthy that the international cooperation in the humanitarian field, particularly in the educational sphere with friendly Armenia is at a very high level. Conferences, forums and round tables, thematic Olympiads and various educational competitions are regularly held the participants of which are the representatives of different universities and schools of the two countries.
It should be also mentioned that for strengthening the existing and growing cooperation in the educational sphere different lectures and master classes, likewise in a hybrid format, are held on an ongoing basis. Joint scientific and cultural events, as well as an active exchange of experience of different educational programs are being held systematically.
Turkmen-Armenian cooperation in the field of education is also supported by the legal framework: Agreements on Cooperation have already been signed between the Magtymguly Turkmen State University and Yerevan State University, Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov and the National Agrarian University of Armenia, Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Diplomatic School of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia which are being implemented very fruitfully and successfully.
In this context, it should be stated that despite the fact that economic universities and conservatories of the two countries are waiting their turn to sign the Cooperation Agreement. Today these educational institutions are also cooperating very effectively.
In the end, it should be mentioned that another lecture on “The system of national accounts and key macroeconomic indicators” by the head of the Management Department of the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management Charymuhammet Shalliyev is planned to be delivered for the students of the Armenian State University of Economics.
