Issues of ways of developing Turkmen-Armenian relations were discussed

On 10 April 2024, a meeting between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia Muhammetgeldi Ayazov and the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Araik Harutyunyan was held.

At the beginning of the meeting, Ambassador Ayazov informed Araik Harutyunyan that in 2024 the 300th anniversary of the outstanding Turkmen poet, thinker and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi is celebrated. In this regard, various celebrations dedicated to the anniversary will be held in Turkmenistan and abroad and told the interlocutor about the events being held in Yerevan.

During the meeting, the parties touched upon the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and transport-communication relations between the two countries and discussed the prospects of further development of the mentioned spheres.

In the course of the meeting, the Ambassador also touched upon the productive cooperation in the field of science and education, and in order to further strengthen the legal basis of this field, drafts of relevant agreements were developed between the higher educational institutions of the two countries. In this context, Chief of Staff of the Government of Armenia said that today, major reforms are expected in the field of science and education in Armenia.

At the meeting, the prospects of developing trade between the two countries by using the transport and logistics potential of Turkmenistan were also discussed.
