Discussed opportunities for sports cooperation in Ashgabat.

A meeting was held between the head of the State Committee for Physical Education and Sports of Turkmenistan, Allaberdi Saparov, and the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, Zhanna Andreasyan, within the framework of the International Conference of Ministers of Culture dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birthday of Mahtymguly Fragi on 17-18 May 2024.

During the meeting, issues of cooperation between the two countries in the field of sports were discussed.

Noting that Turkmenistan has become a venue for international sports events, opportunities of the Olympic city were presented. Here all conditions have been created for training and sports events. The parties agreed to ensure the participation of representatives in international conferences and international sports events held in Turkmenistan and Armenia, as well as to continue mutual training.

Turkmen weightlifters and swimmers have regularly participated in sports camps in Armenia. This cooperation is carried out on the basis of an agreement between two countries in the field of sports.
