The prospects for cooperation in the field of healthcare were discussed

On March 21, 2025, a meeting between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia Muhammetgeldi Ayazov and the Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia Lena Nanushyan was held.

During the meeting, the prospects for cooperation in such areas as medical tourism, cooperation in the field of pharmaceutical products, interaction between the ministries of the two countries were discussed.

 Then Ambassador M.Ayazov told his interlocutor about the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship and about the modernization of the national healthcare system, through which immense work is being carried out to improve the standards of living and well-being of the population of Turkmenistan, emphasizing that the human health protection is one of the priorities of the state policy of Turkmenistan.

The parties also touched upon the holding of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Armenian Commission on Economic Cooperation at the end of March, during which the prospects of cooperation in the field of healthcare and interaction programs will also be discussed

At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador invited representatives of the Ministry to take part in the international healthcare exhibition, which is annually being held in Ashgabat in October
