Meeting with the Cultural Attaché of the Vatican Apostolic Nunciature in Turkmenistan

On June 23, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with the Cultural Attaché of the Vatican Apostolic Nunciature in Turkmenistan, Mr. Andrzej Madej, who is completing his mission in Ashgabat.

During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed gratitude to Mr. Madej for his personal contribution to the advancement of friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the Holy See.

In turn, Mr. Madei highly appraised the peacekeeping activities of Turkmenistan and the constructive foreign policy of the state based on the principles of positive neutrality.  He expressed deep gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan for the assistance provided in the implementation of his work in the country for 28 years.

The sides also discussed prospects for the development of bilateral ties and noted the need to promote humanistic values in international relations.
