Turkmenistan will significantly expand the potential of its chemical industry

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for a mineral fertilizer production complex at the Turkmenabat Chemical Plant named after S.A. Nyyazov, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised that the new complex will ensure a reliable supply of high-quality phosphorus fertilizer to agricultural producers and domestic consumers, thereby addressing import substitution issues.
«The new facility will produce 350 thousand tons of superphosphate and 100 thousand tons of ammonium sulphate annually. Once the complex is commissioned, the potential of the country's chemical industry will significantly increase», – the head of state said.
The President of Turkmenistan also noted that the commissioning of the modern facility will create additional jobs, and that the majority of specialists will be trained at higher education institutions abroad.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also identified a key aspect of industrial infrastructure development as the importance of adhering to all environmental requirements and implementing advanced technologies when implementing such projects in Turkmenistan.
