The Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya presented his credentials

On the 1st of July, 2026, on the instructions of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Speaker of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova accepted the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kenya to Turkmenistan, John Maina Mwangi.

On behalf of the head of state, the Speaker of the National Parliament congratulated the diplomat on his appointment to this important post and wished him success in his work to further strengthen interstate relations.

Expressing gratitude for the kind words and hospitality extended to him in Turkmenistan, the Ambassador conveyed greetings and best wishes to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on behalf of his country's leadership.

During the meeting, the diplomat was briefed on Turkmenistan's peace-loving foreign policy and important international initiatives to ensure universal prosperity and sustainable development. In this regard, it was noted that Turkmenistan is interested in developing international cooperation, including with countries on the African continent.

The Ambassador was also provided with information on the structure of the Mejlis and its multifaceted efforts to modernize the national legislative framework.

During the exchange of views, Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kenya confirmed their readiness to intensify fruitful cooperation both bilaterally and multilaterally, primarily within the UN and other authoritative international organizations.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kenya John Main Mwangi emphasized his honor to represent his country in Turkmenistan, assuring him that he would make every effort to strengthen friendly interstate relations.
