The delegation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia took part in an International Conference in Turkmenistan.

The General Secretary of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia Vardanush Grigoryan took part in the International Conference "Year of Peace and Trust: Development of International Activities for the Sake of Children".

V. Grigoryan thanked for being welcomed so warmly and noted that it was a great honor for her to participate in such a high-level forum, dedicated to such an important issue as the protection of children's health.
It was emphasized that the protection of children's health is a priority for every state, since the future of society is inseparably linked with the younger generation.

Protection of motherhood and childhood is a multifaceted problem affecting not only the health care system, but also the socio-economic and cultural spheres. And that is the reason, that the consolidation of efforts in this area is of a great importance.

"Presenting the latest state programs aimed at protecting the health of mothers and children in Armenia, V. Grigoryan especially emphasized the importance of providing access to medicines. She mentioned that the list of diseases for which the state provides expensive medicines for free to children increases every year in Armenia, and among them the primary immunodeficiency, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, Kawasaki syndrome, multiple sclerosis, etc. are included” cites at the website of the Ministry of Health of Armenia.

In conclusion, V. Grigoryan noted that the results of this international forum will contribute to the creation of new cooperation mechanisms in the field of children's health protection and wished success to the initiatives of Turkmenistan in this direction.

The Vice-president of the Charitable Fund O. Atabaeva thanked the representative of Armenia for the meaningful speech and noted that at present Turkmen-Armenian relations based on the principles of friendship, mutual respect and trust are developing very effectively.

Within the framework of the visit of the Armenian delegation to Turkmenistan, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan.

According to the information on the website of the Ministry of Health of Armenia, during the meeting, an agreement was reached on establishing cooperation in the sphere of import and export of medicines and medical products produced in Armenia and Turkmenistan. The Armenian party also received an invitation to participate in the International pharmaceutical exhibition in Ashgabat in autumn.
