COTTON FIELDS IN THE NORTH OF THE COUNTRY TO BE SOWN WITH MEDIUM FIBROUS SPECIES

More than 19,000 tons of high-quality seeds have been prepared for the coming spring sowing of cotton in Dashoguz Region. All seeding material has been tested in laboratories of relative services for compliance with set parameters in germination, class, species purity and other characteristics. The seeds are well protected from diseases, pests and weed owing to special treatment.

Highly reproductive seeding material has been supplied by ten cotton gin facilities located in the region.

It is worth to mention that industrial complex in Kunyaurgench district, which combines modern seed cotton process facility with production output of 40,000 tons per year and raw cotton reception terminal for storage of 10,000 tons of raw cotton, is one of the most high-technological facilities in Dashoguz Region. Due to the equipment installed at the facility, it also produces peeled cotton seeds, which are distinguished with high germination and biological characteristics and which use in the cotton sowing campaign is thought to be economically beneficial.

This year, the farmers of the northern region of the country give preference to medium fiber species like Dashoguz – 120, Dashoguz – 114, Gubadag – 3, C – 4727, Jeyhun, 149F, which are well adapted to local soil and climate conditions and meet the requirements of textile industry by strength and fiber output. At the same time, the activities for preparation of the beginning of the sowing is continued in the region.
