THE FIRST BATCH OF CARGO DELIVERED TO BISHKEK

The first consignment of goods from Turkmenistan, an agreement on the supply of which was reached during the official visit of President Sadyr Japarov to Turkmenistan, was delivered to Kyrgyzstan. About 20 tons of sanitary products, several tens of tons of tomatoes, carrots and confectionery were sent to Bishkek from Turkmenabat on an IL-76 aircraft (Turkmen Airlines). In addition, several tons of petrochemical products (polypropylene and polyethylene granules), tissue samples, etc. were delivered. Thus, the Turkmen businessmen began to implement the contracts signed a few days ago.
On June 27, 2021, at the site of the Kyrgyz-Turkmen Economic Forum, agreements were reached between the business circles of the two countries. It was also decided to cooperate in the development of the production of clothing and footwear, investment activities and import-export operations between entrepreneurs of the two states.
Adylbek Kasymaliev, deputy head of the Kyrgyz presidential administration, who met the cargo at the airport in Bishkek, stressed that a new page of cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and Turkmenistan has been opened: “It's time to move from words to actions. The cargo has arrived from Turkmenistan, which means that the implementation of the agreements reached has already begun. I hope that in the future our cooperation will only expand».
