RICH CROP HAS BEEN GATHERED

The agriculturists of Dashoguz velayat, as in previous year, has successfully fulfilled a state order on harvesting of certain varieties of grain legumes and oil crops. The largest mungbean, kidney bean and sesame growers are S.Turkmenbashy etrap and Kunyaurgench etrap, where a huge experience is accumulated on their cultivation under unfavorable weather and climatic conditions of the north region of the country. The gathered from the fields harvest passed the quality control in the respective specialized laboratories.

Alongside the fulfillment of the primary target – the market saturation with the local foodstuff of high quality and broadening of their range, such crops, according to the specialists, to some extent, promote also the improving of productivity of agricultural land. For example, the kidney bean enriches the soil with nitrogen and is a good previous crop for other plants. The grain legumes need little water and resistant to drought and diseases. The sesame is relating to the low maintenance oil crops and yield a good harvest vein in droughty environment. In this regard, their mass production complies with one of primary targets of the agro-industrial complex of the country – to ramp up agricultural production due to the most rational use of water and land resources.
