MOLLAKARA – CHAMELEON-LAKE WITH HEALING WATER

According to mir24.tv site, a correspondent of «MIR 24» Sergei Polyakov visited a famous Turkmen balneotherapeutic resort – Mollakara.

The journalist stated that the lake water, like the chameleon, changes its colour four times a year. Not long along it was blue, and today the water area is discoloured to dark brown. Along with colour palette a chemical composition is changed. Appearance of brown tint means a beginning of a new healing season in resort, where they await for arrival of the vacationers with musculoskeletal system diseases.

«People with backache come to convalesce, especially in winter. The treatment is carried out in the resort in accordance with the characteristics of each season», – said a doctor of “Mollakara” sanatorium Gulnar Muhamova in interview with the correspondent.

The healing water of lake and therapeutic mud allow to treat a range of diseases such as disorders of the nervous system, improve blood circulation and lymphatic flow, enrich the body with oxygen, strengthen immunity. The mud acts as an anesthetic for the joints. They have been healing the patients in Mollakara for 120 years. In winter the medical center admits up to 500 patients per day, besides, Mollakara’s mud and salt is bought by other resorts. It is widely used in cosmetology.

 In autumn 2020, “Mir” Interstate Television and Radio Company and MFA of Turkmenistan signed contract on cooperation in the field of the information policy. Reports from Turkmenistan regularly appear in news releases of the TV channel.
