NEW IMPULSE FOR CARPET WEAVING

The state pays special attention to the development of carpet weaving, an ancient national craft. The work carried out in this direction in the Balkan velayat is also noteworthy. In recent years, three carpet enterprises have been put into operation here - in the city of Esenguly for 300 jobs, in the city of Serdar for 500 jobs and in the city of Bereket for 120 jobs.

One of the exemplary enterprises in this area is the carpet enterprise of the Türkmenhaly association in the city of Serdar. The carpets and carpet products produced here are in great demand in the domestic and foreign markets.

At the enterprise, where skillful craftswomen work , who continue the ancient traditions of national art , the plan of work for the month of January was fulfilled by 102 percent . At present, the friendly staff of the enterprise spares no effort in restoring ancient designs and patterns and giving them modern shades. Each of their working days is marked by new labor successes.
