COOPERATION IN THE AGRARIAN SPHERE CONTINUES
In continuation of the established cooperation between S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University and the National Agrarian University of Armenia, on 20 May 2020, Anna Dashtoyan, associate professor of the Department of Animal Husbandry Processing Technologies of the National Agrarian University of Armenia, gave a lecture on the topic: “Using food additives in the meat industry."
Welcoming students and teachers of the Turkmen Agricultural University, A. Dashtoyan thanked for the excellent opportunity to share her knowledge on a very relevant topic in the world - nutritional supplements. Students of the Turkmen Agricultural University listened with great interest to an online lecture on the use of food additives (food emulsifiers) in the meat processing industry of Armenia, from traditional flavoring to special technological ones, including those with E-indices, on color stabilizers, and on the use of preservatives.
At the end of the lecture, Associate Professor Dashtoyan gladly answered for the questions of the future Turkmen agrarians and university representatives. She also talked about the NAUA Faculty of Food Technology, where they train specialists of the agri-food system for the rapidly developing food industry of Armenia. She noted that safe and quality food is impossible without specialists with a wide range of skills and abilities formed in the appropriate educational environment. According to A. Dashtoyan, the Faculty of Food Technology, the development program of which follows from the strategy adopted by the university, is actively changing and modernizing in accordance with the requirements of the time. Participants in the online meeting also agreed to exchange available literature.
At the end of the video meeting, both parties again thanked the leaders of their universities for the opportunity to organize this online lecture and expressed hope that over time they would have the opportunity to visit each other in person, which would lay the foundation for more productive cooperation and would be another expression of friendship and good neighborly relations in the humanitarian sphere as a whole between our friendly countries.
This online event was another contribution to the implementation of the Agreement between S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University and the National Agrarian University of Armenia, signed in August 2017, during the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Armenia.
