PRESS RELEASE OF THE EMBASSY OF TURKMENISTAN

 On November 8, 2016 the Embassy of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia with the assistance of Yerevan State University held a Round table on “The achievements throughout the 25 years of independent and neutral Turkmenistan” dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan, as well as  presentation of a special issue of an illustrated magazine devoted to this glorious date.

Officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, diplomats, heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to the Republic, the professors and the students of the Yerevan state university took part in the Round table.

The speakers emphasized that at the present stage of independent development of the country under the wise leadership of the Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, a large-scale work, paying special attention to stable economic growth is undertaken. According to the main motto “The State for the Individual!”, comprehensive reforms of all branches of economy, science, education, public health, sport, culture and tourism are realized. The entrepreneurship and private sector are being developed at great speed, providing high social and living level of the people, making new modern villages, settlements, industrial complexes, promoting the consolidation of the principles of the state sovereignty. This significant date the Turkmen people meet with a feeling of great joy and pride for their motherland, for the huge achievements in economy, social sphere, science and culture, being proud of their country’s success.

In his welcoming statement, the Russian Ambassador to Armenia Ivan Volynkin noted that within a relatively short historical period the young state was able to create all the necessary socio-economic and political grounds for a decent life of its citizens, to lay a solid foundation for a strong and stable state. “Russia has always supported the sovereignty of his closest allies and friendly states. The Russian side is interested in having a strong and independent partner as Turkmenistan. The Russian-Turkmen relations can be characterized as “open and trusting dialogue of old friends”, - was stated in the statement.

The Ambassador Aram Grigoryan and Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Armenia Timur Urazaev congratulated the audience on the 25th anniversary of Independence and marked the successes and big accomplishments that has been achieved through tremendous work done throughout the past 25 years of independent existence, with visible confirmation of the great success and achievements of a sovereign country.
